Born out of a transport family
Family company Aircargo Transport was founded in 1978 as Rotra GmbH, the German branch of Dutch company Rotra (Roelofsen Transport). The family Roelofsen has been in the transport industry since 1909, when Hermanus Roelofsen started Rotra in the Dutch city of Doesburg.
In 1998, Aircargo Transport GmbH became an independent company, led by 2 brothers of the 3rd generation: Jan Roelofsen and Gerard Roelofsen. Since 2019, the company is owned by the fourth generation of the Roelofsen family: Michael Roelofsen. In the past 45 years, the company has grown into a high-quality transport service provider with around 160 employees, 85 own trucks and branches in Emmerich (DE), Prague (CZ) and Leipzig (DE). From these branches, our fleet is being controlled, planned and instructed to make sure that our customers cargo is being transported throughout the whole of Europe under the best conditions!
